Whirlwind XN358
So, from the last post, a Whirlwind. This one has been chosen for one reason - .... Its not your typical mk7. I am currectly holding a FAA group build on my Instagram page, and i am also building a phantom, but that can wait. So This MK7 is very intrguing. By googling this heli XN358 (serial WA304) i found nothing about it in this form but rather what it was afterwads. I then asked NavyWings, and by using their helpi have fond this. Built in 1960, the heli was made after the troubles that started in '57 with engine problems for all mk7s, underpowered. Seen in portland habour, this one had had itstail rotor drive shaft cover removed, venteral fin removedand various avioncis removed so it could increase its lifting properties.
